Burr Hazen |
| Burr was raised in New Jersey (USA)
and graduated from St. Lawrence University with a BA in Economics and an MVP in Lacrosse. After college, he served as a United States Army, Paratrooper officer, then, for a change of pace, he circled the Earth on a bicycle. His next adventure was being a Wall Street banker, leading a corporation-wide project to create and implement an innovative customer-profitably analysis system. Needing another change of pace, he relocated to Maine to invest in real estate and to open a windsurfing shop. Maine was hot for investing, but cold for windsurfing, which necessitated another relocation, this time to Florida. After a hiatus of racing professionally, The Sailboard Center opened as a Florida Inn and Windsurfing School, then migrated to the Caribbean island of Bonaire and evolved into The Windsurfer's Castle. Recently widowed, and long retired from the traditional working world, Burr's migrating and evolving days are "possibly" over, as he lives on the Atlantic coast of Florida, windsurfs, plays golf and is continually startled by the twists and turns our lives take. |
